Medzinárodný akademický festival folklórnych súborov „Akademická Nitra 2018“ (AN 2018) organizuje v roku 2018 Slovenská poľnohospodárska univerzita v Nitre v spolupráci s Univerzitou Konštantína Filozofa v Nitre a Ministerstvom školstva, vedy, výskumu a športu SR. Festival patrí od roku 1970 medzi vrcholné folklórne podujatia na Slovensku. Je členom Medzinárodnej organizácie pre ľudové umenie IOV (UNESCO). Uskutoční sa v dňoch 2. až 6. júla 2018 v priestoroch SPU Nitra, mesta Nitry a Divadla Andreja Bagara v Nitre. Festival AN 2018 je súťažnou prehliadkou tvorby domácich a zahraničných súborov. Medzinárodná odborná porota vyhlási domáceho a zahraničného Laureáta festivalu a ocení mimoriadne výkony v oblasti dramaturgie, spevu, hudby, tanca a tradičných odevov. Súťažné programy v trvaní min. 15 a maximálne 16 minút, sa uskutočnia v Divadle Andreja Bagara, kde bude k dispozícii špičková javisková technika. Ako sprievodné podujatia festivalu AN 2018 bude pripravený festivalový sprievod mestom Nitrou, vystúpenia účastníkov na javiskách v meste a vystúpenia súborov v okolí Nitry. Súčasťou festivalu bude odborný workshop pre umelecké vedenia súborov a vedeckých pracovníkov z oblasti tradičnej kultúry.
PODMIENKY PRE ÚČASŤ NA FESTIVALE a) Na festivale sa môžu zúčastniť vysokoškolské folklórne súbory zo SR a vybrané študentské folklórne súbory zo zahraničia. b) Súbory sa prihlasujú na festival záväznou prihláškou, ktorú potvrdzuje zriaďovateľ súboru. Termín zaslania povinnej prihlášky je do 15. 12. 2017 a je záväzný. Folklórne súbory zo zahraničia vyberá Organizačný štáb AN, ktorý o výbere upovedomí vybrané súbory do 22. 12. 2017. c) Zriaďovateľ súboru zodpovedá za umeleckú úroveň a autorskú pôvodnosť programov, s ktorými súbor vystupuje na festivale. d) Súbory si pripravia okrem súťažného bloku (15 – 16 minút) pre ďalšie festivalové koncerty programové bloky v dĺžke 90 minút, 30 minút a 3 minúty. e) Dopravu účastníkov na festival a späť si organizuje a hradí každý účastník individuálne z vlastných zdrojov. V zmysle medzinárodných dohovorov IOV hradí organizátor AN 2018 zahraničným účastníkom nevyhnutné cestovné náklady, resp. pohonné hmoty spotrebované v rámci festivalu (vrátane príchodu a odchodu) na území SR. f) Organizátor festivalu hradí súborom štandardnú celodennú stravu a ubytovanie v mieste konania festivalu. g) Počet účastníkov jednotlivých súborov je ohraničený počtom max. 35 osôb (vrátane vedúcich súborov, hudobníkov, vodiča autobusu). h) Kritériá hodnotenia súťažných programov – dramaturgia, réžia a choreografia programového bloku, tanečný, hudobný a vokálny prejav, výtvarné spracovanie, objavnosť a dodržanie časového limitu.
ORGANIZAČNÉ POKYNY Je žiaduce, aby zúčastnené súbory mali k dispozícii počas celého pobytu vlastnú prepravu. Výnimočne, na základe predchádzajúcej dohody s Organizačným štábom AN, bude pre zahraničný súbor prichádzajúci na Slovensko letecky, zabezpečená potrebná preprava. Každý súbor počas trvania festivalu absolvuje: - súťažné vystúpenie s programovým blokom (žiadame bezpodmienečne dodržať dĺžku maximálne 15 – 16 minút), - vystúpenie na galakoncerte v trvaní 3 minúty podľa pokynov režiséra programu, - vystúpenia v meste Nitre v rámci sprievodu, propagačných podujatí a celovečerné vystúpenia zahraničných súborov v okolí Nitry (30 až 90 minút). Podrobnosti technických požiadaviek programu dohodnú s vedením súboru režiséri jednotlivých programov. Prihlásené súbory nahlásenia termín príchodu súboru do Nitry. Žiadame o dodržanie nahláseného počtu účastníkov AN 2018. Súbory zašlú spolu so záväznou prihláškou: - charakteristiku súboru, prehľad účasti a úspechov na významných súťažiach a festivaloch, propagačné materiály, fotografie súboru, bulletiny, plagáty súboru a podobne, - predbežnú stručnú charakteristiku súťažného programu (zameranie, región, libreto). Rámcový harmonogram festivalu AN 2018: - príchod zahraničných súborov - 2. júla 2018 t.j. v pondelok, najneskôr do 22.00 h, - príchod domácich súborov je 3. júla 2018 do 10.00 h, - pobyt domácich súborov končí raňajkami 6. júla 2018. Pobyt zahraničných súborov môže byť, po ich vlastnej dohode s organizátormi vrcholných folklórnych festivalov na Slovensku, rozšírený o účinkovanie na festivaloch - Folklórny festival Východná (28. 6. – 1. 7. 2018), - Folklórne slávnosti pod Poľanou Detva 2018 (6. – 8. 7. 2018).

The International Academic Folk Groups Festival „Academic Nitra 2018“ (hereafter AN 2018) is organized by the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra in cooperation with Constantin the Philosopher University in Nitra and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. Since 1970, the festival has been among the finest folklore events in Slovakia and is a member of the International Organization of Folk Art IOV (UNESCO). It will be held from 2nd to 6th July 2018 at SUA in Nitra, the city of Nitra and Andrej Bagar Theatre in Nitra. The AN 2018 festival is a competitive exhibition of the production of both domestic and foreign ensembles. The International Expert Jury will announce the National and International Laureate of the Festival and will reward extraordinary performances in the field of dramaturgy, singing, music, dance and traditional clothing. Competition programs of min. 15 and a maximum of 16 minutes, will take place at the Andrej Bagar Theatre, where high-tech stage technology will be available for use. The following accompanying events of the AN 2018 will take place: festival street parade in the city of Nitra, stage performance of the participants in the city of Nitra, performance of the ensembles around Nitra. As an integral part of the event, a professional workshop for artistic management of ensembles as well as for academic professionals from the field of traditional culture.
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE FESTIVAL a) University folklore ensembles from the Slovak Republic and selected student folklore ensembles from abroad can take part in the festival. b) The ensembles can enter the competition by filling-in a binding application submitted by the ensemble director. The deadline for submitting the application is 15th December 2017 and is final and binding. Folk ensembles from abroad will be selected by the Organizational Staff. These elected ensembles will be informed about their admission before 22nd December 2017. c) The creator of the ensemble is responsible for the artistic level and originality of the ensemble´s performance. d) In addition to the main competition performance round (15 - 16 minutes), the ensembles will prepare additional program for other festival concerts lasting for 90 minutes, 30 minutes and 3 minutes. e) The participants are responsible for the arrangement of their own transport to and from the festival and bear all the costs associated with it. In accordance with the International IOV Conventions, the AN 2018 organizer covers the necessary travel expenses of the foreign participants, such as the fuel utilized during the duration of the festival (including arrival and departure) on the territory of the Slovak Republic. f) The organizer of the festival covers the cost of standard full-day meals and accommodation at the venue of the festival for the ensembles. g) The number of participants in each ensemble is limited to max. 35 people (including ensemble executives, musicians, bus driver). h) The evaluation criteria of the competition programs -dramaturgy, direction and choreography of the program block, dance, musical and vocal expression, artistic execution, innovativeness and whether the time limit was kept.
INSTRUCTIONS The participating ensembles should have their own means of transport available for the duration of the entire stay. Exceptionally, on the basis of a previous agreement with the Organization Staff, the necessary transportation will be provided for the foreign ensemble arriving in Slovakia by air. Each ensemble has to participate at the following activities during the festival: - Main competition performance (teams are requested to strictly adhere to the time limit: 15 - 16 minutes maximum), - 3 minutes- performance at the gala concert, according to the instructions of the program director, - performance in the city of Nitra as a part of the festival street parade, promotional events and full-length performances of foreign ensembles around Nitra (30 to 90 minutes). Details of the technical requirements of the program should be agreed with the program directors of each program. The participating ensembles have to inform the Organizational Staff about the exact date of their arrival to Nitra. The teams are requested to respect the reported number of the participants of the AN 2018 festival. Ensembles have to send the following documents along with their binding application: - characteristics of the ensemble, overview of their success at major competitions and festivals, promotional materials, photographs of the ensemble, newsletters, posters, etc., - preliminary brief characteristics of the competition program (focus, region, libretto). Max. 1500 characters. The frame schedule of the AN 2018 festival: - arrival of foreign ensembles- 2nd July 2018, i.e. on Monday, no later than at 22.00. - the arrival of Slovak ensembles- 3rdJuly 2018, until 10:00, - the stay of Slovak ensembles ends with breakfast on 6th July 2018. The stay of the foreign ensembles can be extended, after their own agreement with the organizers of the top folklore festivals in Slovakia - in order to perform at the following festivals: - Folklore Festival Východná (28th June– 1st July 2018), - Folklore celebrations under Poľana Detva 2018 (6th-8th July 2018).
