SUA in Nitra’s Leadership Enters a New Term of Office
09.07.2026The leadership of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA) has entered a new term of office, with two new Vice-Rectors and a new Bursar taking up their positions on 3 July.
Rector of SUA, Associate Professor Klaudia Halászová, appointed Associate Professor Lenka Lackóová as Vice-Rector for Education. She succeeds Professor Milan Šimko, who held this position in the previous term.
Lenka Lackóová is a member of the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, where she previously served as Vice-Dean for Educational Activities. She is an expert in the field of landscape engineering and is responsible for coordinating educational activities within the European Universities Alliance INVEST. She participates in national and international research and educational projects focused on landscape sustainability, climate change adaptation, and enhancing the quality of higher education.
Professor Adriana Kolesárová has been appointed Vice-Rector for Science and Research, succeeding Professor Drahoslav Lančarič. Since 2024, she has served as Director of the AgroBioTech Research Centre. Prior to this, she was Vice-Dean for Science, Research and International Relations at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences. Since 2019, she has also been the National Coordinator of EIT Food Hub Slovakia, through which she connects Slovak research with the largest European innovation community in the field of food.
Professor Tomáš Tóth continues in his position as Vice-Rector for Investment Development for another term. Professor Lucia Palšová will also continue her work as Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalisation.
Professor Pavol Findura, who previously served as Vice-Rector for Communication and Cooperation with Practice, will continue as Director of the University Agricultural Enterprise.
A change has also taken place in the position of Bursar. Engineer Mária Candráková has been appointed the new Bursar of SUA, succeeding Engineer Zuzana Gálová, who previously held this position. Mária Candráková worked as Head of the University’s General Accounting and Assets Department before her appointment.
Zuzana Gálová will continue her work at SUA as Rector’s Chancellor, where she will coordinate strategic activities of the university.
Klaudia Halászová was appointed Rector of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra by the President of the Slovak Republic on 20 May. She is leading the university for her third term of office.
