SUA achieved an excellent 101st–150th place in the QS World University Rankings in the field of Agriculture

The Slovak University of Agriculture (SUA) has once again achieved a placement in the prestigious QS World University Rankings 2026, securing a shared position between 1201st and 1400th.
Only the best universities make it into this ranking, with many remaining applicants each year. Among universities from Eastern Europe, SUA ranks 38th. In the Agriculture and Forestry category, it has achieved an excellent ranking between 101st and 150th out of approximately 500 universities worldwide evaluated in this category. SUA's position in this category has improved annually, reaching the 301st-350th range in 2021 and the 151st-200th range in 2024.
"We are delighted to be included once again in this prestigious ranking, as it enhances the university's international credibility and increases our potential to attract high-quality students and researchers from around the globe. We especially appreciate the outstanding result in the field of agriculture. We are pleased that many measures taken by the university recently to enhance education and research have reflected positively in this outcome," evaluated Vice-Rector for Science and Research, Drahoslav Lančarič.
According to QS WUR 2026, the top-ranked university globally is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the USA, followed by Imperial College London in the UK and Stanford University in the USA. Slovak universities included in the ranking are Comenius University in Bratislava, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Slovak University of Technology, Technical University of Košice, and University of Žilina. Comenius University performed the best among Slovak universities, ranking 684th.
SUA first entered this ranking in 2021.
