Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS)

Slovak University of Agriculture (SUA) in Nitra has introduced into its strategic management policies ensuring the implementation of the internal quality assurance system of higher education in accordance with Act No. 269/2018 Coll. on Quality Assurance of Higher Education. Part of this process was the adoption of Directive 5/2022 Internal Quality Assurance System of Education at SUA in Nitra, which introduces the fulfillment of individual standards for the internal quality system at SUA in Nitra.

The Board of Internal Quality Assurance System of Education (IQAS) was created as the executive and decision-making body of the processes of the internal system of quality assurance of higher education at SUA in Nitra. In addition to internal capacities, IQAS also includes external privies and students who are part of the tools and mechanisms for monitoring the quality of education within the internal system of the quality of education, science and research at the university. The competencies, field of action and responsibilities of The Board of Internal Quality Assurance System are governed by the Statute and Rules of Procedure of the Board of Internal Quality Assurance System.

The Board of Internal Quality Assurance System, as its advisory bodies, establishes independent working groups for each field of study in which it carries out education and creative activity. Working groups are created ad hoc according to the submitted materials for the deliberations of the Board of Internal Quality Assurance System. The competences, field of action and responsibility of the working group of the Board of Internal Quality Assurance System are regulated by the Statute and the Rules of Procedure of the Board of Internal Quality Assurance System.

Program committees of study program are established for each study program. The same program committee for the study program can be established if the study programs are concurrent. Program committees are composed of representatives of internal and external privies and student representatives. The field of action and responsibilities of the Program Committee of the study program are regulated by Methodological Instruction 1/2021 for Proposal, Approval, Modification and Cancellation of the Study Programme, article 6.
