SUA is ranked first in the world in the Agriculture and Forestry category

The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra has successfully placed in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, in which it shared 101st - 150th place in the Agriculture and Forestry category within Life Science.
This year's ranking of the best world universities focused on education in the fields of natural sciences, agriculture and forestry included almost 500 institutions.
"With this success and continued growth in the academic world, SUA once again confirms its leading position as an agricultural university in Slovakia, but also at the international level. This increases its international reputation and attractiveness, so it has the potential to attract high-quality students and scientists from all over the world," said Vice-Rector for Science and Research Drahoslav Lančarič.
This ranking of universities and colleges has been compiled by the analytical company Quacquarelli Symonds since 2004. The ranking results in the categories are calculated based on five criteria: academic reputation, employer reputation, number of citations per article, H-index and international research network. The first two criteria are evaluated based on a global questionnaire survey among academics and employers, citations are determined based on data in the Scopus database of Elsevier.
1,747 universities from more than 100 countries were ranked in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025.
